Course objective

The aim of this course is to help students develop theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of Medical Documentation and Secretariat. It aims to enhance students' problem-solving and effective communication skills within the framework of professional ethics while evaluating the situations they encounter during hospital internships. This course also covers important applications related to information management systems, patient rights, and data privacy in healthcare institutions.

Terminology and practices used in medical documentation and secretariat.
Hospital information management systems and patient records.
Preparation of medical reports, patient file management, and archiving techniques.
Ethical rules to be considered in communication with patients and their relatives.
Data privacy, patient rights, and legal responsibilities.
Medical archiving and documentation processes.
Hospital management and organizational structures.
Electronic health records and digital transformation processes.
Development of problem-solving skills through case studies and group activities.
