Infrastructure Modernisation Project
At Öztan Hospitals I ran the infrastructure project covering the planning and renewal of servers, network, hardware and CCTV security systems.
The problem it solves
Hospital information systems are among the least tolerant of interruption: when the infrastructure slows down or stops, what suffers is not only the software but everything from patient admission to the laboratory.
What it offers
- Server and network infrastructure were renewed
- The hardware estate was modernised
- CCTV security systems were replaced
Technical approach
As Information Systems Manager I ran the project from planning through to commissioning. The renewal was treated as a whole rather than piece by piece, because servers, network and endpoint hardware work as one — renewing only one of them simply moves the bottleneck somewhere else.
What changed
- System continuity improved
- Performance rose
