ERP Development Requests and Testing

ERP Development Requests and Testing

I gathered requirements on the shop floor, passed them to the development team and ran the testing of the ERP modules.

The problem it solves

A development request changes shape between the shop floor and the developer: what gets written down is not the need itself but the version the intermediary understood. At the testing stage the same problem works in reverse — someone who does not know the shop floor cannot judge whether a module behaves correctly.

What it offers

  • Requirements were gathered on the shop floor and passed to the development team
  • Testing of new ERP modules was carried out
  • Improvements were made in response to employee feedback

Technical approach

Test management and module analysis were kept in the same hands as requirement gathering. Having the person who wrote the request also run the test meant the question “is this what was asked for?” was answered before the module went live.
