MANTSoft Discharge Control System

At Özel Medikar Hospital I built a system that verifies every mandatory pre-discharge check with a single click.

The problem it solves

Discharging a patient is not a single approval but a checklist that several independent departments have to complete. One missing document turned into both a billing loss and a documentation gap that was hard to correct afterwards.

What it offers

• Every mandatory pre-discharge check is gathered on a single screen
• Missing items appear at the moment of discharge, before the process is completed
• Checks are not entered separately; the record in the hospital information system is read directly

Technical approach

The system was built with C# and .NET, keeps its data in MSSQL and integrates directly with the hospital information system (HIS). Reading the checklist from the HIS record was a deliberate choice: had the data been held in two places, the list itself would have drifted away from reality over time.

What changed

• Mandatory pre-discharge checks became verifiable with a single click
• Financial losses caused by incomplete documentation were reduced
• Patient safety and process speed both improved
