Service Catalogue Overhaul

I led a year-long project in which every service, test and procedure definition at Özel Medikar Hospital was revised from the ground up to meet regulation.

The problem it solves

A hospital’s service catalogue grows on its own over time: new definitions are added, unused ones stay, and codes fall behind as regulation changes. The result is pricing that cannot be relied on and billing that no longer matches the rules.

What it offers

• Every service, test and procedure definition was reviewed from the ground up
• TTB-HUV, SUT, SGK and LOINC codes were brought up to date (the Turkish medical tariff, reimbursement and social security coding systems)
• Unused services were retired

Technical approach

This was not a software project but one of process analysis and project management. Over a year, working with the departments concerned, each definition was matched against its regulatory counterpart at source, and the mismatches between coding systems were resolved one by one.

What changed

• Pricing accuracy improved
• Financial efficiency rose
